Campbell Farms
Located in Albany, Ga...Quail Hunting Capital of the World
Campbell Farms is a quail hunter's paradise and has many unusual qualities which distinguish it from other properties. For example, it is shown on the southwest Georgia plantation map and is a hunting preserve consisting of approximately 1100 acres +/- of unspoiled land. The hunter is not limited to hunting quail but can also enjoy dove shoots, hunting deer and duck. The Dry Creek runs through a portion of the property and provides the duck hunter with a great opportunity to enjoy this sport.
For the fisherman, there is a "fish house" built over a catfish pond, which is nestled in the middle of the property. The fish house has a kitchen, a game room two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a deck built around it so that you can fish even on a rainy day without getting wet. The fish house can easily accommodate 6 to 8 guests comfortably.
The land is unspoiled as evidenced by the wiregrass, longleaf pine, quail habitat and the sheer beauty of the property itself, consisting of different types of terrain, areas for growing crops plus horseback riding trails which will also accommodate the quail wagon, the jeep and Tennessee Walkers when hunting. The quail hunting wagon was specially built by a craftsman for Campbell Farms and has dog pens, and accommodates as many as eight hunters.
When you enter the plantation, you see the caretaker's home, the barn for the horses which has numerous stalls, the tack room, the dog pens and the lodge. The lodge has a bar with a kitchen and an eating area with tables, sofas and television so hunters can eat, relax and enjoy themselves.
Campbell Farms has been host to many celebrities, and was the subject of a TNN television series called The Legends, produced by Field & Stream magazine. Please take a tour of this unique hunting preserve by viewing the photos, maps, video clips and other information provided here.
